For example, a score of 100% and 99% may have a difference, but both are seen as a distinction. To achieve a distinction in matric, you must score 80% or above. This pass is really helpful in increasing your chances of getting into university.

How many points is a bachelor pass?

In many educational systems, a bachelor’s pass is the minimum requirement needed to earn a bachelor’s degree. 

 To be eligible for a Bachelor’s Pass, you must earn an Admission Point Score (APS) of 23 or above. The APS, also known as the Academic Performance Score, is a numerical value that universities and colleges in South Africa use to evaluate the academic performance of potential students.

The final matric exams consider the scores achieved in specific subjects.
