NSFAS Portal Login: How to Create And Login

By Klnam Kurt •  Updated: 10/25/22 •  5 min read

Many students ask me what my NSFAS Student Portal is. To state this, in brief, the full form of the NSFAS student portal is the National Student Financial Aid Scheme used by beneficiaries and students to get important information about funding. These schemes provided bursaries to those students who could not afford their education expenses while living in South Africa. These schemes are highly approachable and pay beyond your fees, like accommodation, books, transport, and registration procedures in different colleges.

How to Create NSFAS Portal Account

NSFAS will ask you to create an NSFAS account before starting to access the account. So let me help you to open an account at the NSFAS portal. Follow these steps for how to create NSFAS Portal Account.

How to Login to my NSFAS account?

Already registered students like me had to go through these simple steps to log in to my existing account and check the status, explaining how I log in to my NSFAS account

Can Somebody Access My NSFAS Portal Login?

Yes, it is possible; any outsider can use my NSFAS account if you share your username and password with him. This way, many hackers come to know the email address and phone numbers to access the bank details and other essential documents. But, it will harm you because, if you do so, the opponent will try to destroy my access to the account, use it without your permission and use them for their purposes.

Can I Change My NSFAS Portal Login?

Yes, you can change my NSFAS portal anytime if somebody is accessing your account to fulfill their purposes. Few people like me forget the credential quite often. Thus, to change my NSFAS login credentials, follow these steps-

1. Go to the official site of NSFAS.

2. Login with your credentials and click on the My Personal Details tab.

3. After entering the new email address page, click on Update Your Details.

4. A notification will direct you to change your email address after completing it.

However, before that, know the reasons for these unnecessary problems that you will face. First, NSFAS has detected the wrong password or username. If the wrong credentials are entered three consecutive times, NSFAS will lock the account. As a result, you raise the query I can’t access my NSFAS Portal Login. How to Check My NSFAS Status with NSFAS Portal?

To check whether NSFAS is funded on my account or not, You have to go to the NSFAS official site first. After logging into my account, You have to click on the track funding progress bar to check my status. Finally, You can see the status on the dashboard, which will display as funded or unsuccessful.

Go to the NSFAS student portal to check the NSFAS. All information related to NSFAS will be displayed in my NSFAS account linked with the NSFAS portal. It helps to manage everything related to NSFAS.

Where to Find NSFAS Connect?

How to Check the Status of my NSFAS Payment?

NSFAS-Funded students receive funds from NSFAS via NSFAS Wallets. It allows NSFAS-funded students residing or studying at a certain tertiary level to invest the fund at any store registered by NSFAS. To check my balance in my NSFAS Wallet, I have to go through the following steps.

1. Browse www.celbux.appspot.com.

2. Logging into the account via cellphone number and clicking the Login button

3. Click More, then transaction, and view the transaction immediately to know the status of the NSFAS payment on the portal.

Then, while tracking my NSFAS account and seeing the appeal status, it responds as ‘active appeal,’ which means your NSFAS is still active, and you are eligible for funding from NSFAS.
