How to change UIF banking details

The uFiling portal, which is accessible at https://ufiling.labour.gov.za/uif/, is the first place to go if you want to change your UIF banking details. The Labour Department has published a guidebook on the uFiling portal that explains the process for changing and adding banking details. However, if you are too busy to access the guide, this section presents comprehensive information on the required steps to take to update your banking details with the UIF.

All you have to do to change your banking details on the portal is to log in. After logging in, proceed to click on “Employer Information”. From the dropdown, select ‘Banking Information’, and input the required banking information to complete the change.

As an applicant, you can equally change your banking details by filling in Form UI.28 (shown in the picture below). This form, also known as the ‘Authorisation to Pay Benefits Into Banking Account,’ contains sections that must be completed by both the beneficiary and his or her bank.

Completed UI2.8 forms are submitted with personal details attached to the Labour Department using the mail address: VOsupport@labour.gov.za.
