Have you submitted your application to UNISA? Are you curious about how long it will take the university to respond to your application? There are a lot of other students who are in the same position as you. However, reading this article will help you learn how long the process takes, how to determine whether or not you have been granted admission and other relevant information.

How long does it take UNISA to respond?

After an application has been sent in, prospective students at Unisa should be informed that there may be some time before they receive a response to that application. The academic entrance requirements for your selected qualification and your final grade point average from your undergraduate studies will be considered when evaluating your application to UNISA. Candidates undergo a stringent selection and approval process that might take as long as three months to finish.

UNISA will review your application, and the points system will be taken into consideration. If you match the academic admission standards for the degree of your choice, have a minimum academic points score (APS), and there are seats available for the programs for which you have applied, then you may be admitted for the 2025 academic year.

Following UNISA’s evaluation procedure, applicants will be informed whether their application was successful and whether or not the qualification for which they applied was awarded to them.

You can file an appeal against the university’s decision to deny your admission to a qualification or both qualifications of choice if your application for admission to either qualification is denied. Your grounds for appealing the decision can be that you believe the university made the decision in error or that additional supporting documents may result in a different outcome regarding your admission application.

How long does it take for UNISA to accept your application?

UNISA will evaluate your application based on your undergraduate grade and the entrance requirements of the qualification you wish to pursue. Acceptance is valid just for the period during which you register. You will need to reapply for admission during the following application period if you do not enrol for the 2025 academic year. A formal application review and approval process can take up to three months to complete.

How will I know if UNISA accepted me?

The most convenient way to check the status of a UNISA application is by tracking it online on www.UNISA.ac.za/application-status portal 2025.

Students who meet the admission requirements and submit their applications by the deadline for the upcoming semester will hear from the University of South Africa on whether or not they have been given a spot in the upcoming fall 2025 semester.

However, most applicants may not have heard from UNISA for two reasons. First, their application is still under review, or they provided UNISA with an inaccurate phone number or email address, which could delay the application further. If you are not in the second category, don’t feel bad if you haven’t heard from UNISA because the selection process can take up to three months.

How to Track Your UNISA Application Status 2025?

Follow these easy instructions to view the status of your application to UNISA. However, if you’re trying to check in on the progress of your Master’s or Doctoral application, you won’t be able to do so here. Consider the outline below:

How will I know if UNISA accepted me?

The very first thing to do if you want to know whether or not UNISA has accepted you is to go online to their website and check the status of your application. There is no reason to feel discouraged if you have not yet been accepted into the program. UNISA will allow you to submit a new application or make revisions to your present application if you are not accepted into the program. You can also try getting in touch with the admissions office to inquire about the following procedures that need to be completed.

What percentage is a pass mark at UNISA?

When taking an exam at UNISA, you need to make sure you get at least the UNISA pass mark in order to pass. There is a 50% requirement to pass each course. When a student earns 75% or more on a module’s final exam, the phrase “with distinction” will be noted on the academic record and the Advance Statement of Results.
