Who qualifies for a matric upgrade?

The qualification for the matric upgrade is set to ensure the selected individuals are allowed to take part in the process.

These prerequisites ensure that individuals are well-prepared and equipped to successfully complete the program.

Here are the details that can qualify for a matric upgrade.

What is the difference between matric rewrite and upgrade?

Upgrading is the term used to describe the process of enhancing one’s Matric results after successfully completing the initial exams.

Students who believe their original marks do not truly reflect their abilities or potential have the option to choose this alternative. By participating in the process of upgrading, individuals have the opportunity to strive for higher grades and ultimately improve their academic profile.

The Matric rewrite program provides students who were unable to pass their Matric exams with a chance to obtain their Matric certificate. These exams provide an opportunity for individuals who were unable to meet the required passing grades initially. The supplementary process aims to give students the chance to improve their exam results and ultimately earn their Matric certificate by allowing them to rewrite their exams.

How are upgraded marks calculated?

After upgrading matric marks, the calculation is done to assess the highest mark scored in the subject.

Supposing you scored a higher mark in your metric upgrade compared to the initial matric results, your current mark will be used for the matric certificate.

The matric upgrades focus on getting a better result for your matric certificate.

To further explain, your class assessment, which is 25%, is calculated after you have upgraded your matric results. The matric upgrade score will be pegged at 75%, which means the 25% earlier assessment will be added to get the full mark of 100%.
